Must report item(s) delayed at airport and acquire a PIR number from lost luggage desk. Claim £50 for checked luggage that is delayed and cannot be located within the waiting period, and £500 for checked luggage that is deemed lost and cannot be located by the customer services desk after 48 hours from the time it was registered with smartluggage.io/claim. On a single trip policy, the policyholder and each covered person can claim for one item of checked luggage on each leg of a trip. On annual multi trip policies, the policyholder and each covered person can claim for one item of checked luggage on each leg of a trip, up to a maximum of three trips within the policy period. For individual and group travel insurance policies you can claim for one item of luggage per individual named. For couple and family travel insurance you can claim for a maximum of two items of luggage only. All claims must be made within 48 hours of acquiring knowledge of the delay or loss.
